More Stuff From My Visit to Avril's Favourite (La) Pizzeria!
Hi, again : ) . Just some more cool stuff from my interview with Avril Lavigne's Pizza Boi. :)
In the last post i was talking about signing Avrils guestbook. VERY BIG ! Not to mention it was the 6th book . Maybe she already has it ? Bill from La Pizzeria sends them to her whenever they get full so hopefully she's read my message i left her. If you want to check out the picture of me signing it , it's on my first page about visiting La Pizzeria.
When I was there Bill showed me alot of different pictures of Avril with him and his family at the restaurant and lots of pictures from the tour bus. She also got them VIP passes to the Juno Music Awards a few years ago too. Pretty cool - they're ACTUALLY friends with Avril ! :)
I asked him about the fans that came into the restaurant and he said that there had been some from as far as AUSTRALIA and JAPAN! Another guy came in and asked what booth Avril ate pizza in, Bill told him every booth so the guy video taped himself eating pizza in all of the booth's! Pretty funny stuff.
Another cool thing , When Avril was on the Jimmy Kimmel live show he phoned up Bill and asked him a few questions about Avril while she was there. He must have been suprised !!. Just after that they sent him a tape of the show, so he could hear himself on TV ! .
So if you're travelling by Napanee, which is near Kingston, Ontario and between Ottawa and Toronto (about 3 hours from Toronto and 2 or so hours from Ottawa?), I would definately recommend going into La pizzaria, the pizza is actually very good and well, Avril loves it !.
La Pizzeria is only about 5 minutes away from the 401 highway, so it doesn't take much time to get there if you're already driving by. The picture at the top shows what the front of the store looks like - it's on the north side of the street.
And you can get directions to get there by choosing "Directions" at Google Maps and putting your address as the "Start Address" and La Pizzeria's address in the "End Address" (17 Dundas St E, Napanee, ON, Canada) if you live anywhere in North America. You can also see a Google satellite map of where the restaurant is by clicking on the little map to the right (the red thing shows where La Pizzeria is) or just click here.

Hi - sorry I'm a bit late answering your question...
How much is the Avril Lavigne Pizza? I picked up a menu when I was there last time, but don't have it handy right now. However it's the same price as a regular pizza.. somewhere between $10 and $25 depending on the size, I think? I'll check next time I'm there.
And yes - LOL - you can have the poutine when you're there too! :)
I guess poutine is a Canadian "recipe" but basically just french fries with melted cheese and gravy...
But La Pizzeria's poutine is better than most (or maybe even ALL) the poutine I've ever tried before. I think it's because of the cheese they use - thick and gooey, just like their pizza cheese. :)

Hey there,
I too live not far from Napanee, but I grew up near Toronto and my grandparents lived in Sandhurst. Every time we visited my grandparents in Sandhurst (which was usually once a month or so), we drove to Napanee and drove south across the river on 8. I just thought I should mention that it is nowhere NEAR 3 hours to Toronto - it actually takes about an hour and a half or so. It does take over 2 hours to get to Ottawa, though. It only takes a little over 2 hours to get from Toronto all the way to Kingston, and Napanee is only 3/4s of the way there. Ignore any Google Maps time estimates in Canada, they are totally out to lunch.

Hi,
No - I haven't had the chance to meet Avril yet. She moved away from Napanee before I moved here and am never quite sure when she returns for a visit. I know she has returned on holidays over the years but even if I knew when she was here I wouldn't go looking for her. :)
The closest I got was to visit the places she use to be at, like her school and La Pizzeria where she hung out at etc.
But the whole town and area (and all of Canada!) is very proud of her success and I think she will be continue to be successful in everything she does! :)

Have you seen or met Avril in life yet? If I got got to go to Napanee and visit La Pizzeria I would so freak out. 'Cause I'm sitting on the chair Avril Lavigne sat on!! I'd say "Omg Omg!"
I would so bring cameras to picture the super, cool, special moment. Then if a teacher at school told me to write a stupid story of a personal thing I have done. I would write this story. I bet the teacher won't believe anything I said.
The Avril gets punked video and link didn't work. Youtube said 'This video is no longer availble.' I so hated that. I so can't believe that. STUPID YOUTUBE !!!!!
I am sooo special and lucky because my birthday is on hers!! Go September 27th!!!! (If you think I am bragging sorry. I din't mean to, but i just happy, excited and joyful to have my birthday on hers)

You're so lucky to have the same birthday as Avril!
And yes, I just met Avril for the first time last month!! :) I will be writing all about that trip in my next blog post (the rough draft is done now so hope it will be online this week).
Sorry about the Avril getting Punk'd video stopped working - I hate that Youtube takes those videos off too, and it's tough to know when it happens so I can try to replace them with a working version. I'll dig around and see if i can find a new Punk'd video to replace it with.
I don't get to La Pizzeria as much as I'd like to, but will try to visit before Christmas to see if he knows if Avril will pop by this holiday...
Her parents don't live there any more so she might not have any reason to stay in Napanee this year, but hopefully she will make a stop on her way to wherever they live now...
I *think* her mom lives just North of there now, but not sure. And the woman her dad is with now is still a police officer in Kingston as far as I know, so I doubt he lives far from Napanee either (but that's all just a guess).
