Avril Lavigne

According to the official 2006 Olympic Games website – Avril will be singing in the concert, in Italy at the Medals Plaza !

From the Medals Plaza webpage:

"...following each medal award ceremony, every evening, for the entire duration of the Olympic Games, big concerts are being planned that will last about an hour and a half and will reflect the international character of the event.

These will range from opera music to pop, and will present on the stage set up in front of the Royal Palace some of the greatest stars of the world music panorama.

February 11 will start off the series with the Italian singer Andrea Bocelli. After him there will be other world-famous artists including Lou Reed, Ricky Martin and Avril Lavigne."
