Avril Lavigne in a Manga Book!
Avril Lavigne is going to be a comic book character in a new Japanese graphic novel!
Her likeness will appear in "Make 5 Wishes
", an English language comic from Del Rey Manga.
In its 1st volume, the character Hana - described as an introverted teen - is granted a bunch of wishes by a demon! And when things (naturally!) go bad for her, she meets Avril who helps her to defeat her 'personal demons'.
That 1st installment will be released on April 10 and the next volume will be in stores in July.
Avril is the first U.S. singer to be turned into a comic book character in Japan. Courtney LOve, lead singer for "Hole", was turned into a Manga character called Princess AI in a Tokyo Pop comic book series in 2005. Original Post written: Wednesday, January 31, 2007
