Just bought my tickets for the Avril Lavigne Concert in Kingston! :-)

UPDATE: Tickets are sold out!

Although the arena's website front page hasn't been updated (it's still showing a scrolling message that tickets go on sale at 10am), the actual ticket ordering page there says:

"The ticketing system currently indicates that no seats are available for this performance. This performance may not yet be on sale, or may be sold-out. Please try at a later time or contact customer service."

...although they should get a better standard message, imo - I mean either they're not on sale yet OR they are sold out. .. it has to be one or the other.

I heard someone say they couldn't get tickets (because it was sold out) only 20 minutes after they went on sale!

UPDATE: There's a new article in the Kingston Whig Standard website that says Avril's concert sold out in 2 hours.

The tickets went on sale at 10 am and "By noon, all 5,300 tickets were gone."

I guess that's what happens when a huge star has a concert in or near her hometown at a (fairly) small arena. She sells out in 20 minutes!

Although I wonder how many tickets the scalpers got. :(

And for those who didn't get a ticket - I'll try to do a really good post about the concert so you can almost feel like you were there. :)

UPDATE: Here are some places selling tickets (if they sell for more than the face value, they're "scalpers"). I have these links listed here for Av fans wanting to get a ticket for her Kingston Concert but weren't able to. I hear it sold out as fast as within 12 minutes!

But keep in mind that scalping is against the law in Ontario ("Ticket Speculation Act") and a conviction can result in being fined up to $5000. So maybe you can mention that to the seller and see if they'll sell you the tickets at face value. ;-)
